Alex Andriesse is a writer, translator, and editor. Born in Iowa in 1985, he grew up in various suburbs of the American South – mostly near Atlanta. As an adult, he has lived and studied in New York, Boston, and western Massachusetts. He has translated short works by Marcel Schwob, André Spire, and Paul Léautaud, and his edition of François-René de Chateaubriand’s Memoirs from Beyond the Grave, 1768-1800 is forthcoming from New York Review of Books Classics. He currently lives in Dublin, Ireland.
