Jan Valk

Jan Valk is editor for German-language literature at Kiepenhauer & Witsch, and previously worked in the same field at DuMont. As part of the Adler & Söhne Literaturproduktion office between 2007 and 2015, he worked as a freelance editor, radio journalist, and event organizer. He oversaw many international and German-language titles for publishers and literary agents, and conceived series of events for, among others, the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin, the Goethe-Institute, New York, and the international literature festival lit.COLOGNE. In 2014, he was artistic director of the “Was wir suchen, ist alles” festival at Literaturhaus Frankfurt.
