Moshe Sakal was born in Tel Aviv. He has, thus far, published five books. His book “Yolanda” was shortlisted for the 2011 Sapir Prize. His new novel “The Diamond Setter” was published in 2014. Sakal is the managing director of the Israeli Fine Literature Translation Project and he regularly publishes articles and critiques in Haartez newspaper. He is the winner of the 2012 Eshkol Prize. He is also a member of staff at Ho! magazine. A travel journal written by him is scheduled to be published in 2015.
