Nir Baram is an Israeli author. He was born in Jerusalem in 1976. Baram’s novels The Remaker of Dreams (2006) and Good People (2010) were shortlisted for Israel’s Sapir Prize for Literature. Good People was translated into 12 languages and was also nominated to Primo Roma prize. His latest novel World Shadow was published in 2013 and will be published in translation in 2016. As an editor in Am-Oved publishing house, Baram edited the non-fiction series 972 and the classics series. Baram, who was born to a family of well known Labor party politicians, is known for his involvement in promoting peace between Israel and Palestine and contributes regularly to newspapers in Israel and Europe such as Haarez El Pais, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and others. He lives in Tel Aviv.
