Sigal Naor Perelman
Sigal Naor Perelman has a PhD in literature, and is a literary theorist, teacher and editor. In 2011, she founded the organization “Derech HaRuach” (Humanist Way) for the advancement of the study of humanities in Israel along with her partner, Lior. Two educational institutes, within the University of Haifa and the University of Tel Aviv, are among the schools currently collaborating with the organization, teaching high school students literature and philosophy. Between 2007 and 2011, Perelman was the poetry editor for “Mita’am—A Review of Literature and Radical Thought.” She also contributed her own essays, poems and stories to the magazine. In 2012, she co-edited with Ariel Hirschfeld a book of essays about the work of the poet and author Yitzhak Laor. She teaches at the educational institute “Derech Ruach”, at the Leo Baeck High School in Haifa, and at the University of Haifa.
