Amir Engel

Amir Engel

Amir Engel lived and studied in the United States and Germany for years. Today he is a professor of German literature and culture at the Hebrew University. He always thought that the Holocaust destroyed Jewish life in Germany and discovered that in fact, Jews continued to live and work in this country after 1945. Angel has paid a significant part of his attention to this finding. He reads, translates and teaches German and German-Jewish postwar literature.
