Jutta Person

Jutta Person is a freelance journalist who writes for the Süddeutsche Zeitung, Philosophie Magazin and Die Zeit. After studying German, Italian and Philosophy in Cologne and Italy she did a doctorate on the history of physiognomics which she completed in 2003. In 2012 she was on the jury of the German Book Prize. In 2013 she published Esel. Ein Porträt (‘The Donkey: a portrait’) in the Matthes & Seitz ‘Naturkunden’ series. She is head of the book department at Philosophie Magazin and a jury member of the Leipzig Book Prize. Jutta Person lives in Berlin.
