Sophie Hughes

Sophie Hughes is a literary translator and editor living in Mexico City. She has worked as an editor for Asymptote and Dazed & Confused online, and in March 2015 she co-guest edited a Words without Borders feature on contemporary Mexican literature. She translated novels by several contemporary Latin American and Spanish authors, including PEN award-winning Laia Jufresa and Rodrigo Hasbún, and critically acclaimed Iván Repila. Her translations, reviews and essays have been published in The Guardian, The Times Literary Supplement, The White Review, Words Without Borders, Music & Literature, Necessary Fiction, LitHub, and Asymptote.
