“A highway can be like the high seas,” thinks Drake Horowitz, a young garbage man from Polish origins, who claims to be named after the English pirate Francis Drake. One day he decides that the garbage truck he shares with his two colleagues is a pirate ship—a seemingly harmless fantasy that allows him to detach from his dreary routine. However, things soon take a turn for the worse, when after a night of heavy drinking, Horowitz finds out that his wife has left him for good, taking his son as well as the little dignity he still had left. At this point, the fantasy turns into a barbaric journey of self-destruction, a journey which reveals surprising sides of human behavior, despite having an inevitable end.
