A native-born Macedonian, Erika Teneva grew up in America, growing and flourishing during her childhood summers and college years in Eastern Europe. She reflects her personal realities (and sometimes morphed illusions), through her poetry and stories.
She self-published her first book “Moral Compass” in December of 2018, and has since delved into short story writing. Her poems and stories narrate dreams, depict family dynamics, and retell folklore. Other topics she touches on are psychological and philosophical renderings of political tension, personal struggle, modern day absurdities, and of course, love.
