Elaheh Farmand is an immigrant of Iran. After leaving Iran at age 11, she spent years in nostalgia and longing for a country that was no longer hers. She felt isolated and alone, always in search of a home. She lived with her family in Northern Virginia before moving to NYC. Today, she celebrates her immigrant identity and is the founder and producer of the series, Immigrants & Exile: Stories of Nostalgia & Longing where she gathers artists to share their experiences of nostalgia, exile, and longing. She hopes that more people come together through this series, and realize that no matter where they are from, they are at heart, human. Elaheh currently resides in Allentown, Pennsylvania with her partner.
