Galit Dahan Carlibach
Galit Dahan Carlibach is an Israeli writer. She was born in 1981 in Sderot and grew up in Ashdod and Jerusalem. She studied screenwriting at the Ma’aleh School of Film and Media, and also works as a tour guide, writing teacher and literary critic. She has a humoristic column in Makor Rishon newspaper. So far she has published three novels, a novella and two youth books. Her short stories, essays, literary reviews and poetry were published in the Israeli and international press. Her short stories earned her second place in the 2008 Agdata competition. Galit is a recipient of the Pardes Scholarship from the National Library, a recipient of the Prime Minister’s Award for Hebrew authors, and a graduate of the International Fulbright Literary Program from the University of Iowa. She lives in Jerusalem and is a mother of two.
